The monument is located in Kars Province, Central Ortakapı Neighborhood, Block 320, Plot 2. There is Kars stream in the north of the monument, Erzurum-Kars road in the east, and a park built by the municipality in the north garden. It is located on top of the Süvari Tabya (historic redoubt) which was built buried under the ground. It was built in memory of all martyrs due to the 100th anniversary of Kars Victory in 1855. The monument, whose foundation was laid in 1955, was completed in 1967. The monument was registered with the decision no: 216 of the Protection Board in 25.01.1990.
