The 150-person Specialized Nursing Home project is located in Kocaeli province, Izmit district, Gündoğdu Neighborhood. The building is placed longitudinally on the east-west axis on a trapezoidal plot and has a construction area of approximately 10,000 m2. The nursing home structure consists of the adjacent combination of Entrance block, A (rehabilitation block), B (Alzheimer and Dementia block), C (seniors’ house block). Transitions from different floors are arranged to the garden and open areas at different ground levels. Parking lot, ramps and stairs providing access to different levels, sports fields, hobby gardens and seating units have been arranged in the parcel. The nursing home has a capacity of 150 beds and consists of double and single rooms with private WC and balconies. In the patient blocks, each floor has its own living room, physical care bathroom, laundry room and staff rooms. There are hobby rooms, multi-purpose hall, hairdresser, cafeteria, infirmary, exercise room and social meeting rooms in the common areas.
